Years ago in Galveston, TX some friends of mine and I heard about a building at the University of Texas Medical Branch that was supposedly haunted.  Supposedly, the man who owned the land this building was erected on had specified in his will that the land not be sold.  He died, his family sold the land, laughed all the way to the bank, and the University got a new building.  Over time though, slowly and surely, the image of his face grew and could allegedly be seen in the algae formations that grew on a panel on the exterior wall.

We had to see it.  We just had to!  After a margarita (or three), we left the bar we were in and walked down the Galveston strip to the building.  We snuck under the fence and giggled and shushed each other like a bunch of 12 year old school-kids while we walked around the building.  Coming around the final corner, we all stopped dead in our tracks and fell silent as each of us gazed directly into the face of the ghostly landowner. It was creepy… I mean there he was, bigger than life!
