 smitten

This is from this weekends investigation of a home I have been investigating for several years.  There is one spirit that is a practical joker that likes to toss coins and has a habit of kissing the female investigators on the neck.  He was a young man that as a teenager enlisted in the army and died near Belgium in WWI.

In this I try to confirm the behavior.  Sounds like he says "if they're good looking I kissem all"

Sorry, I hear noise with no resemblance to speech.

If you know how to use a sound editing program try saving the raw and changing it to a lower pitch or tuning it more to your level of hearing.  That might help a little.  This one came in very high pitched.

I subscribe to the premise that if you have to alter the recording in order to hear something, then there isn't really anything there.

Familiar with that school of thought.  Along the same lines that if a trees falls in the woods and no is around to hear it, did it make a sound. My theory based on an extremely large number of EVPs collected is that they manipulate whatever ambient sound (or what we provide)  available to manifest speech.  Less available for instance would mean  fainter  EVPs.  We speak with a variety of pitches, cadence, accents, etc.  I would find it hard to believe then the only EVPs are those that are Class As and we would expect them to speak exactly as we do.  I have many examples from all classes with some melodic, some gravelly and some just as we speak.

Anyway I’m used to listening to them and unfortunately sometimes they are overprocessed or unprocessed even though I can still hear them so I’ve tried to re-filter it a bit to see if it will help.  The Raw is there for anyone to play with.  In that I can only hear faint speech until it is worked.

Also while we were covering that subject this was captured in the next sentence. Its a bit overprocessed to so i'll end up redoing it.
