My guess is whoever invented these terms, then applied their use as to acquire monetary gain and/or a sense of spiritual superiority.

Plain and simple. Kinesthesis is your senseofphysical awareness. It is differentiated fromt he sense of touch because they have completely different neural pathways. This may confuseyou more than help you, I hope not though. Think of Phantom Limb Syndrome. That is when people lose alimb,but feel as if it is still there. They will say they can wiggle their fingersand everything. They know they do not have an arm, but they feel like they do. Phantom Limb Syndrome is actaully not related to Kinesthesis. Based on MRI scans,neurologically it is morefrelated to touch, but the description helps explain Kinesthesis. It's a hard sense to understand,which is why they keep it out of High School health class. You have to have a knowledge of neurology to understand it totally. Basically it helps with your sense of direction, depth, spacial awareness, etc.

yeah the new medical students have to learn these senses. Isn't it great to know that we now have to say the 8th sense instead of the 6th sense because scientists refuse to acknowledge intuition!

modern medicine is as much a farce as most spiritual practices/beliefs IMHO..at least these additional senses were contrived logically, but other than that have no basis in reality.
