Balam
Deepfreeze:
This one has personal signifance to me, though I'll not go into any further detail than that.
Balam (Judeo-Christian) - also referred to as Balaam or Balan.
Appearance:
Three texts; the Dictionnaire Infernal, Pseudomonarchia daemonum, and the Ars Goetia (Lesser Key of Solomon), which I found references to Balam in, all agree on the basic "makeup" of this particular demon: He is seen as having three heads. The
first head is that of a bull. The second is the head of a man, and the third is the head of a ram. He has the tail of a serpent. He is described as having a hoarse and harsh voice and is depicted as riding nude upon a bear, with a hawk on his wrist.
Powers:
Balam commands 40 legions of demons. He is referred to as a king or duke, depending on the text. He has the ability to give perfect answers concerning all things past, present and future. He has the ability to teach cunning and finesse, and make men invisible.
History:
Balam is believed to be a fallen angel from the second sphere. Balam was one of 72 demons that were trapped, by King Solomon, in a brass vessel bearing King Solomon's seal.
Very little information, other than that, is available regarding Balam. I will continue to research this particular demon and add any additional goodies, I stumble upon, here.
Maggie:
Great post. Soon as I finish with the other 'demons' I was going to start posting the 72 spirits of Solomon.

Thanks!
This should tie in great with that. O0
Maggie:
1 down 71 to go, I think I'll put them all here in the "Marching hordes" area so they are all together.

Works for me. I'll try to find more info on Balam while you're keeping yourself busy with that. There has to be more on him somewhere.
